Best Microsoft Edge Extensions for Sales Teams in 2026

Updated September 2026  ·  9 min read  ·  By Rahul N

If your company runs on Microsoft 365, there is a good chance your sales team works in Microsoft Edge. The good news: Edge is built on Chromium, the same engine as Chrome, so you are not limited to the Edge Add-ons store. Nearly every sales extension built for Chrome runs in Edge too.

The harder part is choosing. Most "best extensions" lists pile up 20 tools that do overlapping jobs. This guide does the opposite: it covers the five jobs a sales rep does in the browser every day and recommends one extension for each, plus the Edge features that make the browser itself useful for selling.

Quick answer: A lean Edge sales stack is one tool each for finding prospects, finding contact details, writing outreach, booking meetings and logging to your CRM. Five extensions cover the whole day; more than that usually means overlapping tools.

How to choose sales extensions (before you install anything)

1. Finding prospects

Prospecting · Local & small business
GrabNear — Business Finder & CRM
Free · Edge Add-ons & Chrome Web Store

If you sell to local or small businesses — restaurants, clinics, agencies, contractors, retailers — your prospects are on Google Maps, not LinkedIn. GrabNear saves the businesses you are looking at on Google Maps into a lead list: name, phone, category, rating, review count, address and website. From there you can mark a status (New, Follow Up, Qualified, Meeting Done), add notes, and export to Excel.

Best for: field sales, agencies, SaaS for SMBs, anyone prospecting by city and category.

Prospecting · Named B2B accounts
LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Paid · Chrome Web Store (works in Edge)

For enterprise and mid-market selling where you target specific people at specific companies, Sales Navigator is still the standard. Its browser extension shows Sales Navigator details as you browse. It needs a paid Sales Navigator seat, so it makes sense for account executives with a defined target list, not for broad local prospecting.

2. Finding contact details

Contact finding
Hunter
Free tier · Chrome Web Store (works in Edge)

Open a company's website and Hunter lists the email addresses it has found for that domain, with a confidence score. It is useful once you know which company you want and need a person to email. The free plan has a monthly limit on searches.

Tip: for local businesses, the fastest route is often the business's own website. GrabNear's Deep Search visits a lead's website and pulls the emails, phone numbers and social links published there.

3. Writing outreach

Writing
Grammarly
Free tier · Edge Add-ons

Checks spelling, grammar and tone as you type in email, LinkedIn and your CRM. A typo in a first message costs credibility you will not get back. It is especially valuable for reps writing to international prospects in a second language.

Writing · Built in
Copilot in the Edge sidebar
Built into Edge

No install needed. Open the Copilot pane to summarise a prospect's website or a long email thread, or draft a first version of a reply. Always edit the draft — prospects can tell when a message was written for nobody in particular.

Video outreach
Loom
Free tier · Chrome Web Store (works in Edge)

Record a short screen-and-camera video from the browser and share it as a link. A 60-second video walking through a prospect's own website or Google listing stands out in an inbox full of text.

4. Booking meetings

Scheduling
Calendly
Free tier · Chrome Web Store (works in Edge)

Insert your booking link or a few open time slots into an email or LinkedIn message without leaving the page. Removing the back-and-forth over "what time works?" is one of the easiest ways to lift meeting rates.

5. Logging to your CRM

CRM
Your CRM's own extension (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive)
Varies by CRM

Every major CRM has an official browser extension that logs emails and creates contacts from the page you are on. Use the one that matches your CRM rather than a third-party connector — it is maintained by the vendor and respects your CRM's permissions. If you use GrabNear, its webhooks can push new leads straight into your CRM.

How to install Chrome extensions in Microsoft Edge

  1. In Edge, open edge://extensions.
  2. Turn on Allow extensions from other stores (bottom-left) and confirm.
  3. Go to the Chrome Web Store, open the extension and click Add to Chrome. Edge installs it.
  4. Pin the ones you use daily: click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and choose Show in toolbar.

If your company manages Edge centrally, IT may block extensions from other stores. In that case, ask them to allow the specific extensions you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Chrome extensions work on Microsoft Edge?
Yes. Edge is built on Chromium, so almost every Chrome extension runs in Edge. Open edge://extensions, turn on "Allow extensions from other stores", then install from the Chrome Web Store as usual.
Are Microsoft Edge extensions safe?
Extensions in the Edge Add-ons store are reviewed by Microsoft before listing. Still check the permissions each extension asks for, and remove extensions you no longer use.
How many extensions should a salesperson install?
Keep it to one tool per job — usually four to six extensions. Every extension adds memory use and permissions, and overlapping tools create duplicate data in your CRM.
What is the best free Edge extension for finding leads?
For local and small-business prospects, GrabNear is free on the Edge Add-ons store. It saves the businesses you are viewing on Google Maps — name, phone, website, rating and address — into a lead list you can export or call from.
